You may have seen things online that didn't seem quite right but didn't know why, or maybe you were overwhelmed with conspiracy theories during research instead of finding anything sensible.
I will try to outline some basic steps on how to identify why something might seem off and how to go about verifying your hypothesis.
I will talk about misinformation, disinformation, and logical fallacies - how to identify them and how to react, as well as when it's best not to react.
This is not a how-to guide, but a somewhat interactive talk where you are encouraged to think about how you might interact with this type of media in the future.
